January 12, 20179 yr Where can I purchase mens XXL clothes? Black clothing during mourning period is needed.
January 13, 20179 yr I got mine at a small fraction of the mall prices by walking around Chinatown. Dozens, maybe hundreds of kiosks selling black garments of all sizes. I was so desperate to get any black shirts (after looking fruitlessly at the malls) that the first 2 shirts I bought were big enough to fit a Sumo wrestler. Within another hour I had found several more that fit me quite well.
January 13, 20179 yr MBK You could wear a ribbon too or even nothing depending if it is for personal or official use.
January 13, 20179 yr I bought shirts and shorts on eBay.uk since all available here in the boonies were too small. Don't buy from Lazada or Aliexpress as they come from China and the equivalent size to US or UK XXL is 5XL!
January 14, 20179 yr I was in Bangkok for a few days this week and I didn't notice many people wearing black.
January 14, 20179 yr I purchase XXL and even 4XL shirts at Robinson store on Sukhumvit Road. It's one of the few places I know that stock large sizes for "big farang" clothes. I don't know if they have black clothes for "mourning? or not.

January 17, 20179 yr As much as you will be wearing it, I'd go to a cheap tailorSent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect
January 18, 20179 yr According to my calculations the 100-day mourning period will end this weekend. although government officials have been asked/ordered to observe a one-year mourning period. That being so expect no-one to wish be the first to adopt bright and joyful array, but there should be a gradual return to normality. It might be advisable to follow the black and white code whenever one has any business at a government office.
January 18, 20179 yr I think the govt declared mourning period for regular folks is ending/has ended. So, I asked my wife the other day why she's still wearing black to work every day. And her response was, others at her work are still wearing black, and she didn't want to be the first one to break ranks. So it may go on for a while. For me, I stopped wearing black some weeks back, and since that time, no one seems to care or make any notice. But I'm not working in an office.
