Gents i am just checking on anyone who has obtained a Retirement for the 1 year extension of stay. On December 2016 i went there just to check what they required and all appeared to be clear, today my wife told me the lady she talked with on the Dec visit told her the next time we come in March 2017 to bring the blue house book.

I was planning going on march alone and my plan was to bring my yellow book as proof of address so i am a little confused on what they need. This will be my first retirement application and i am using the 800k method so i am new to this process.

And of your marriage certificate. Better to just use your yellow book, maybe take a copy of the blue book, wife's ID Card and marriage certificate as backup, but o lying present them if asked. My last extension in Sakon Nakon, I finally had my yellow book, and only showed that with copies. No problem.

George i have lived in Ubon for 21 years and was using NON O for the last 15 years, this is not my first Rodeo in a government office but after i get the first one done i will hopefully know the plan of attack for the second application. As you will have learned they change the requirements on a hourly basis.

I obtained my yellow book 9 years ago and the whole process was simple.

Just obtained my one year extension today and all went to plan, can someone let me know the following.

1. The TM6 is still attached to my passport, does this mean i need to depart Thailand before it is removed ?

2. They attached a notification informing me i must report back to the office on the 11th June, what's the + or -  on reporting on the given date.

3. If i depart Thailand before the report date do i need to let them know, or just report back to the office when i return.

1. The TM6 departure card stays in your passport until you leave the country.

2. That is date you need to do a 90 report. You can do it up to 15 days before or 7 days after including the report date in the count.

3. If you leave before the report date you will need to do a report 90 days from the date you entered the country.

Be sure you get a re-entry permit before leaving the country or you will loose your extension when re-enter the country.

Joe all is clear, i got them to add a single re-entry yesterday.

When the 1 year is complete, is the 2nd application exactly the same as the first apart from the 800k has to be in the book for 3 months ?
