What board is that doing the UPS function ?

Its a micro UPS from AA Portable in the US - http://www.batteryspace.com/12VDC-Micro-UPS-battery-backup-board-for-12.8V-LiFePO4-/-12V-SLA-battery.aspx

I am told the Shenzhen market place has copied the board but cant find it anywhere.

The micro is a Bananapi running the usual and Transmission

I am currently working on a Mk2 with lots more storage space.

I'm looking for a (cheap) UPS solution for my raspberry Pi

The module takes DC only supply which in this case is 15V from an external power pack. The DC supply voltage needs to be above battery voltage to satisfy the charging circuit. The UPS outputs 12v which is then passed to a buck converter to obtain 5v for main board.

If you are looking for a cheap 5V UPS solution take a look around Ebay and Chinese electronics markets on the web.

Ok thanks for that confirmation its not suitable for my needs...pity

Yes thanks that looks more like the low cost solution i'm looking for :D

@maxpower

So after a long wait on  free delivery from China

http://www.ebay.com/itm/5V-UPS-Power-Diy-Board-Charger-Step-up-DC-DC-Converter-Module-3-7V-Li-ion-LiPo-/282352753274?hash=item41bd891a7a:g:VgIAAOSw4DJYmTkz

5V UPS Power Diy Board Charger & Step-up DC DC Converter Module 3.7V Li-ion LiPo   arrives  much smaller than I expected

(tiny solder pads)

and I slung together  with scrap parts and old Samsung  phone battery a USB powerbank/charger/UPS that works with  the Raspberry PI... most importantly the power is not interrupted when pulling the mains plug ( like most powerbanks do )

they also have a discharge protection module but I didn't order one
