Looking for whirlybird fan

Anyone know of a supplier/distributor of theses attic fans that will fit with C-pac monier cement roof tiles? Somewhere around Lamphun-Chiang Mai area.

I found a shop that sells commercial grade units (not for cement roof tiles they say), and the folks at Global thought it was a door knob.

Anyways, I have a tough time with the search function here. Willing to bet there's topics on this.

Thanks!

You might ask at the same shop that sold you CPAC Monier roof tiles. SCG has good technical staff that any CPAC dealer can call for proper information. CPAC might express strong feelings about which BRAND of attic fan they will authorize if the CPAC staff was doing the roof tile installation. The less holes you create in your cement tile roof the less chances for leaks in my observation.

I bought 2 from Bunnings Australia & still not in the roof

Not sure but i don't think they have ever put in tiled roofs here

Anyway just google installing roof vents or whirly birds

I contacted SCG and was told they don't make, supply or recommend using these in their tiles. At least the tile we're using; however, they're quick to recommend their insulation.

I'll skip the whirlybird vent to keep the integrity of the tiles as they suggest, but have no interest in using their insulation under the tiles. That seems like a better way of keeping heat in rather then out, IMO.

We're using about the lightest color tile they have, there'll be one partial gable that's vented & the eves will be vented. If there's a problem with heat up there I quess we'll install a fan to hasten the venting.

Thanks

its not much of a trip for you into Chiang Mai, and there a couple of places I know.

the Hang Dong road almost opposite the Tesco there is a place that supplies/supplies and fits. the cost is around 3200-3500 each to fit.

obviously they need a sleeve to match the angle of your roof.

by all means pm me if you need further details
