Does anyone know where I can find a automatic gearbox for a 1997 Opel Corsa 1.4i

Try asking around in the Chiang Kong area in Bangna

Just type 'Soi Chiang Kong Bang Na' into Google maps and you will find where.

It will help if you speak at least basic Thai, hope that helps.

Amazing! Just take a "walk" in Streetview in that area. Great tip, thank you. I added it to my landmarks, just in case...

there is also a used parts / junkyard area behind Chula university  off Rama 4

 

mostly imports from Japan , motors , gearboxes etc  but I am sure others too

How recently have you been to the area behind Chula/MBK?

 

I asked a Thai friend before about this area and he said it was not worth going there anymore because most of the used car shops had been cleared out.

 

Not saying your are wrong, actually I hope you are right and my friend misinformed me!

 

If its still there do you have a street name or google map location, would love to check it out!

I have not been there for a year or so,,,,,,

 

I know the area across from National stadium was cleared out ,  but last time the auto parts places were still there , 

 

But that is prime land so I could see the best use is not greasy auto parts ,

Yes he might have ment the National stadium part, thanks for the reply and the location, will update the thread when I get the chance to take a look.
