March 8, 20179 yr I have a wheelchair toting friend that wants to come over and visit me... My neighborhood in Minburi is actually quite accessible for him.. good enough.. He's done a ton of less accessible stuff like rafting down the Grand Canyon etc. Anyhow, I wanted to see if I could find some scooter contraption that I could roll him up and we could buzz around a few places. Yeah I know this isn't everyone's bag, but he and I would be cool with it. A few years ago, we bought a self bailing white water rafting boat, I rigged up a chair and quick release system and got him guiding the boat... happiest I had seen him in a long time. He taught me boating long before he was hurt. Anyhow the attached file is what I had in mind... just don't know where to get one... rent one or buy one. Thanks, Scott also, If there are any adventures wheelchair riders maybe you could send me your favorite strangely accessible spots. ie... MRT, Skytrain to ???? Train???

March 10, 20179 yr My only contribution can be that the side-car combination has to be registered as a side-car from new. One cannot legally convert a normal scooter. So you need to find a used one or borrow/rent an existing one. I think if you keep your eyes open in Minburi you will be able to find something that fits the bill. Just needs to be wide enough? Can you mate sit in a regular chair and/or ride? Because there are also tricycle converted scooters here for the handicapped.
