Are there any newer buildings that turn a blind eye or allow small pets? Buildings like Zire, Reflection and that type of quality of living standard. 

The area won't matter too much but we'd prefer some weekend getaway with a private beach like Zire offers it for example. Unfortunately they don't allow pets (small dog). 

I don't think there are many especially in the high rise buildings.  You may be better to rent a small house.

If you are looking for a hotel The Ibis is pet friendly my GF brings her dog here and always stays there.

Grab one of the 9 karat condos on auction, i think they allow dogs.

I would be very annoyed if my building allowed pets of any type. Children are bad enough. And I would hope that the newer more upmarket condos would be even stricter than my older building is.

 

I know that some older buildings have lax security and I have sometimes heard dogs barking inside.
