LAMPANG: -- The level of potentially dangerous airborne particle matter in Lampang province rose beyond the safe limit on Monday morning.

According to the Pollution Control Department, Lampang's Mae Mo district (tambon Ban Dong) reported the PM10 level at 126 micrograms per cubic metre at 9am. A PM10 level exceeding 120mcg can affect people’s health.

Authorities are intensely monitoring forest fires and hot spots in the region.

Several northern provinces, including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Mae Hong Son, have imposed a 60-day ban on outdoor burning.

The same every year. Talk talk talk. T.I.T. Tourists are risking there health to come here.

Poor Somchai..

Stuck in that little room all day

Got his GPS monitors fired up

Has his sensors to spot those nasty firestarters

Checking the air every 20 mins

Licking his finger than holding it up

to see if any particles stick to it--then tastes it..smoky!

Atta boy ...time for a nice stroll outsi....COUGH--HACK--WEEZ..ACK!

Might be ok in Lampang, but here in Phan, the air is crap...! If I can't see the hills that are half a kilometer away and around my house, there is something wrong...! But they will continue to MONITOR those fires...Same B/S every year...!
