Traffic Bangkok 7-4-2017

Featured Replies

Maybe it has been discussed, but what was going on last Friday 7-4-2017 after 5 pm?

Left Suksawat 92 around 5 p.m. and headed for Rachatewi...a distance of approx. 23 km......I arrived at my destination just before 11 p.m......6 whopping hours for 23 km.

In the 'heart' of Bangkok I did 1 km per hour average.

I'm not living in Bangkok and therefore wonder: Is that normal for a Friday evening or is it because of the holidays?

Ah yes. It's total gridlock Fridays and only marginally better the rest of the time!

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

friday before a long holiday, alot of people are not working this whole week and left friday for holiday.  my guess is the trip would have been 3 hrs on a normal friday.

Driving a car on Friday night in Bangkok is just a bad idea - take a motorcycle instead. You're lucky it wasn't raining, because you'd still be there.
