Marble Chopping Board in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Hey all, I'm trying to find a marble chopping board in Bangkok. Has anyone seen one around or know somewhere that might stock them?

Worst case I'll pick up a slab of Marble + Granite, any recs here for where to pick up a good quality single slab/tile of marble?

Plan to hit up HomePro, but the quality on the site doesn't look great.

Do they really exist, other than for cheese boards or use with blunt knives? - Marble would just ruin the knives... Cutting boards are plastic or wood, generally.

If it's a matter of appearance, then I vote for the plastic ones (ikea do a slim nylon board at a good price) which are easy to stash when not being used, lightweight to rinse off every use, and easy to stash just about anywhere in the kitchen (I stuck a plastic coathook on the side of my fridge to stash mine).

It's for aesthetics over function, plenty of chopping boards around at home :) This one will be used for food photography - hence a piece of marble would also do if I can't locate a marble chopping board.

Then try Boontavorn - also look at the large floor tiles!

They have many different styles of marble, they can trim and cut it to any size you like.

Awesome exactly what I'm after! Will need to make the trek out there.

Open to any other suggestions in the central BKK area (I'm located in Sathorn).
