May 3, 20178 yr Hi, I live in France and would like to get my Thai passport. Is there a way for me to get an official copy of my thai birth certificate via the internet? I contacted a service which said it would cost me 390 USD to get a copy plus another 390 If i wanted to get an official copy. This seems really expensive.
May 3, 20178 yr You can give a power of attorney to a lawyer together with a copy of your id card and a copy of your old passport and the lawyer can then go to the amphur and get the copy for you. The only problem is that it would have to be the amphur that the birth was originally registered with because they have not been putting the birth certificates on the computer system until fairly recently. I was told that you need to be twenty or under to be on the pc system. Pm sent. HL
