Hi, I bought a remote controlled gate about five years ago, which worked well until now.

when i opened it to check the motor i found that it had  shorted and i was wondering if

anyone can tell me where i can have the cirket board repaired or replaced 

the name of the motor is forsee from china i think.

Just what is "shorted" and how did you determine this fact?

 

What is the failure mode?

 

Have you checked the limit switches? Often wildlife makes its home and causes interesting effects.

 

If you post a photo of the board in question we may be able to help. A lot of the Chinese manufacturers use one of half a dozen readily available boards, it could be a more cost-effective solution that trying to get the board fixed.

 

By the way, I think we should change the topic title to something a bit more descriptive. Let me know what you want.
