Customs officials have seized 32 tonnes of smuggled frozen beef at a cold storage in Udon Thani province.

 

The smuggled frozen beef was estimated to worth 6 million baht and was regarded as the largest single seizure by the customs department officials in the Northeast.

Not the first time. I believe there was a similar case, some years ago, where beef contaminated with Mad Cows disease smuggled from India was on sale in Phuket restaurants.

 

And so life goes on in Thailand.

What kind of beef..AZ US Can or from Japan. If it's Thai beef feed it to the dogs.

If it is Thai beef, there is always the possibility that it was once Dog anyway.......:blink:

Buying beef in Thailand is now risky. I bet this smuggled beef was not processed hygenically according to expats standards.
