His political integrity.

I always thought that Tory, what's his name now, was the lover boy.

Sorry I misunderstood, I thought our integrity and honesty covered all aspects of our lifes and not just when it suits us.

But when given a tricky question, throw the ball back into the opponents court eh? :licklips:

Just because they are in the political bed together doesn't mean they are copulating.

Yes Dianne Abbott; every red-blooded man's wet dream!!

Your version of events doesn't tally with Jeremy Corbyns wife version?

We will have to take a pass on that one here in Pattaya. :ermm:

If JC had a fling with DA then so be it. Who wouldn't fall for her charms then or now! We are only human.

Like the man said. "I couldn't tell the wife I wanted to go to Pattaya so my mates so over the course of six months we started up this thing about giant fish in Thailand. Off we went and shagged our brains out in Pattaya. Didn't do too much fishing; just enough to get some pics to take home."

It is not for me to judge how JC gets his kicks, I just think that words like 'honesty and integrity' don't fit Jeremy Corbyn too well. I hasten to add I do not have a problem with Labour, my family have voted Labour all their life, but I think if they were alive today they would have trouble with this lot.

The Marx brothers, Jeremy and JMcD are a complete joke, but I think that the Bourgeoisie will remember their carbuncles to their dying day. ? I just hope we never see a government of the type JC and his comrades are offering.

I was under impression it was during his marriage, didn't DA go round and confront his wife?

Anti Royalist as well, it just gets better. Are you happy with J McDonald wanting to honour IRA bombers?

Yes I am anti-royalist. I hasten to add in the UK!

I am anti a lot of things but I am for a lot of things too.

When the dollar crashes in November 2018 you will see the true colours of the ruling classes.

Even Citizen Smith has gone all bourgeoisie now. I would never had guessed you were an anti person.

can't you bring that forward and peg it to the Baht

When the dollar goes under, virtually every country in the world will go with it. The countries will see that its paper money is worthless. It's worthless anyway; just trust keeps it going. Those countries with natural resources will fare far better than those without. Transactions will be on a gold/silver or barter basisl I'll give you 1000 tonnes rice for some iron etc.

I fear for the UK. Pensions will vanish. The Baht will go the same way. The farmers will be the saviors in Thailand.

Everything is pointing to a crash. Get into gold, bitcion useful materials. And I don't mean buying into these company's shares. Actually get your hands on the goodies.

A little humour there. Like it!!

I don't believe in inherited privilege. Queen Liz her Nazi husband and their interfering, over-privileged son Charles would be subject (no pun intended) to massive change in my world.

To be fair it's already begun as people living here will know. Obviously if anyone lives in Thailand they won't be able to gauge the mood of the people at the moment so have a look at the demos in London at the moment following the fire disaster and the reaction and anger of the local communities and you can see how this will develop.
Of course May learned all the lessons of her and her parties arrogance towards "normal" people and chose to avoid people who had been affected whilst Corbyn walked the streets meeting the "real" people.
Of course she once again had to be told to go and meet the ruffs and now comes up with a half hearted gesture, but the damage is done. She's learned nothing. Her party have learned nothing.
The momentum is rolling with Corbyn and Labour and I can't see it stopping.

You must be in the minority that weren't aware (or do I sense sarcasm?)

Might explain why JC gave DA a high profile job which will scare a lot of people if implemented.

I see the socialist have jumped on the tower block inferno bandwagon (excuse thread drift).

I agree Kalido.

I looked in disbelief for hours at the fire disaster like many others. Actually it was only 6k from where I lived for 18 years and I know the area well. My heart goes out to the suffering .

TM came up with a "public inquiry" when cornered about her thoughts on the matter. It is simply not good enough!! 10 years waiting and 10 million pounds later etc. Not nearly good enough!!

Immediately I would set up a body of experts; firemen, builders, architects, ambulance services etc. to examine every block over 4 floors in the UK. I understand there are some 4000. Give the whole thing 4 months. When the report is in ACT on the findings. Some will need updating, sprinkler systems installed. gas services replaced, some need demolishing. If private landlords need a kick in the nuts to spend some money then make them. If corruption is found on materials etc. then people should do bird.

Alongside that there should be 24 hour debate in the HoC. People can speak their mind there without fear of comebacks. I reckon a lot of people know a lot of things and this is the place to get them out into the open. THEN and only then consider what form any enquiry will take (and I'd like to see laymen on the board).

Has JC every had a real job, or has he only ever been a member of the chattering class

I liked your post because it makes valid points. Labour simply has to do better. If it doesn't then after a while (not in power yet) people will become disillusioned and things will swing out of Labour's grasp. I'm out of it now but if I feel something is completely wrong I will (as far as I'm able) to make waves and loudly voice my opinions (and I don't mean TvisaF).

I think you and the owl, are deluding yourselves into thinking people voted for J.C.

The Labour vote did increase,as did their number of seats in parliament. But you're only fooling yourselves into thinking the electorate voted for J.C.  What happened, was electorate voted for Labour in spit of the presence of J.C as party leader.

Just as true as T.M also gained more votes, yet lost parliamentary seats.

To find out why, all you have to do is compare the estimated Conservative vote, before the publication of their suicidal manifesto, to their estimated vote later in the campaign.

Yes engineering - almost a forgotten word in the UK. Everyone with expertise that would have an input would be included. But we need to get to it!!

For those who don't know, the UK Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671 is the gold standard and is well enforced. I would be genuinely astonished (not to say shocked) if wiring was a contributory factor. Some red tape is VERY worthwhile!

One of the most critical reviews needs to be security. These blocks have been there for years without major issues like this one so the odds of a similar incident are small though by no means insignificant of a similar accident happenning again.

However, those who wish us harm have just been given the biggest clue where one of our biggest weakness is that requires little resources to attack.
