The Thai embassy in Britain has issued a travel adversary for Thai nationals in Britain to exercise caution in their travelling in public places during the elections and post-election period for 1-2 weeks after terrorist attacks in London Bridge and Borough Market on June 3.

The embassy said that the beef-up of security at high-risk places such as airport, underground, tourist destinations, entertainment establishments, sports stadium or theatres might cause inconvenience for members of the public as well as tourists alike.

Well time for the British embassy to do the same about Thailand./

More bombs going off here than in the UK.

Please add the unexplained deaths going on here, along with the worlds worst road kills, hey lets not include the corruption, deception and rapes. They might get embarrassed, second thoughts where are we?

Patty alone is far more high risk than the entire UK.

What a load of rubbish the RTE published. Which country has issued a such warning?????

This headline is misleading.

I don't see anything in the advisory notice that warns Thais to stay away from risk areas - just warning about likelihood of delays due to extra security and advising them to be cautious and comply with instructions given by the authorities.

All very sensible and reasonable.

Well done they are doing their job, just like the UK foreign office warns UK citizens  about visiting certain parts of Thailand

Would that include hotels with extremely high floors and low balcony's.?

True.. but the UK suffered 2 terrorist attacks in a short while.. who knows how many more to come. They are right to warn their citizen about this. Who knows what will happen next.

In Thailand there is no real ISIS treat.. but there is in the UK. I know its hard to admit for Brits but the UK is not a real safe place. Looks a lot like a terror campaign.

Election and bombs aside. If you look at what mess and danger one briton can do in Pattaya. Then imagine the hazard when a Thai put down their feet on UK soil.

As a born and bred Londoner who was around during 30 years of IRA bombs and not far from when the 7/7 bus bomb  all I can say is that I'm far more scared of travelling on a Thai road at night than anything I have encountered in London.

Just now, Father Fintan Stack said:

With over 200 Saudi funded schools in the four Southern provinces I am going to tell you that is utter nonsense.

There are daily attacks and bombings by Southern separatists and increasing evidence that IS is getting involved.

Nobody really includes the four Southern provinces.. nobody with a brain goes there. But technically your right. Still right now the UK has been hit twice in a short time.. much higher casualties who knows what is to come. I understand countries giving out warnings about it.

They already do.

Terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks in Thailand. There were explosions in Bangkok in April and May 2017, and there were multiple explosions and incidents in tourist areas across Thailand in August 2016. Thai security authorities say they disrupted planned attacks in Bangkok in October 2016. The authorities have on a number of occasions warned of the possibility of attacks to coincide with symbolic dates or holidays. You should take care, particularly in public places, follow the advice of local authorities and monitor local media reports.

British Embassies warn visitors to Thailand to stay away from "risk" areas like Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza and  Patpong Rd in Bangkok.

And in Pattaya,  Soi 6, BoyzTown and Wanking Street and Beach Road after dark should be avoided.

Even if you don't go to these places you will still be at "risk". But please feel secure because you will have your new compulsory health insurance.
