School director dismisses bribery video as plot to defame

BANGKOK — The director of the Samsen Wittayalai School said Monday that a video in which he appeared to accept a parent’s bribe was a plot to defame the school.

 

The video, given to a reporter Saturday in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, recorded an April encounter in which the parent claimed to give the school director, Virot Sumruan, a 400,000 baht “donation” to help secure his child’s enrollment.

These people have no shame. We have video evidence here, presumably with the director's face, and he takes money and then says it was a plot. He'll probably file a defamation suit and the parent will go to jail.

Quite common I'm led to believe. Parents want the best for their kids and so they offer a bit of money to have then sit at the front of the class. Can't blame the parents but the school head teacher should not go there.

Once upon a time .............. dismiss the guy for good, revoke his credentials and let him sell somtam street side. Likewise the parents are to be questioned on what they thought they were doing.

then someone holding a box talking to people, sorry, but I saw no cash transaction.
