Anyone know of a handmade shoe shop or good repair shop in CM? There was a discussion here, but its 3ys old, so may not be up to date.

There's a shop here that sells hiking gear seconds, things like North Face and Patagonia - at discounted rates. Anyone know where this is?

Supersports shops sell new equipment, they are mostly located inside the malls. Lots of sports kit...best you go have a look.  Not too sure on the hiking kit.  There is a small niche market shop out in Mae Rim specialising in climbing equipment and some hiking kit.  Just over the lights near the morning market and on the left as you come from town.  Again its new stuff not second hand.

 

Handmade shoes can be found around the corner from Pantip Plaza, past The Helmet to Home shop and on the left.  They can also do repairs.  Dont know the name of the place

Seconds are new in most people's understanding.

North Face is heavily taxed here...never seen Patagonia.  A windbreaker for 35 us in the us will be 4 or 5000 here.  Nice tents are cheap, not North Face, though.

There is a store opposite Nana that sells seconds in BKK, good quality like North Face, but I haven't seen one in CM.

The North Face stuff around Sukhumvit has been counterfeit for decades.

The only authorized seller around there is in Siam Discovery Mall....is that the place you are talking about?

that is Siam Square Soi 2, a mile from Nana, which is Sukhumvit Soi4.  The upscale mall right where the BTS turns 90 degrees?  That is legit...hope you don't get lost.

It is Sukhumvit Soi2, 5min from Nana. The clothes are legit, I don't get lost.
