Pattaya police yesterday announced the arrest of a young South Korean who was stealing possessions of other guests.

Siralak Samutsapthawee, the manageress of Qing Lian Youth Hostel, said that 30 year old Seung Gyun Yoo checked in on the 9th and 12th of this month.

At that time an Indonesian woman and a Lithuanian man reported the theft of many items from their rooms. Siralak checked the CCTV and found out it was the Korean who was responsible.

A warrant was issued and the Pattaya police led by Bunsarn Sinthong and tourist cops did the rest.

The Korean was charged with theft in the hours of darkness and also found to have outstayed his welcome in the kingdom.

In a series of photographs posted to its Facebook page, We Love Pattaya did not report if any property was recovered or who was the man standing behind an evidential poster in their picture.

The Korean looking woman was also unidentified.

Yet again we have the mysterious desciption of the crime. Well, I guess it beats the living daylights of of stealing during the hours of light.

Photo of a woman pointing to a photo of a suspect. It's the next best thing to parading suspects at press conferences.

To be fare they did block out his eyes in one photo to make it a balanced I.D.

Might be interesting to know when he entered Thailand to be here now on overstay.

Otherwise nothing in the article points to an overstay.
