Mother appeals to daughter, missing for nine years, to come home for father’s funeral

A mother on Saturday issued a plea to her daughter, who has been missing for nine years, to return home to attend her father’s funeral.

 

Prathum Sidam 57, said her daughter, Jarunee Sidam, 39, left home in Phetchabun province to work in Bangkok and last contacted her family on the phone nine years ago.

 

Prathum said it was the last wish of her husband, Si Sidam, 67, to meet the missing daughter again but he died on Thursday. Prathum said she hoped her daughter would learn about the death via the media and return home to pay her last respects to her father.

Unfortunately, if she has not contacted home for 9 years, she possibly is the victim of foul play. 

Contacting the missing person foundation would be a good step. 

Sad story, but I have this bad feeling that the outcome will be even sadder...
