PATTAYA: -- A Pattaya hotel maid's home in Bang Lamung was raided by local officials and soldiers yesterday using article 44 powers.

When the raiding party arrived Ratchadaporn Thongsaphran's face dropped as she realized what was in her house and was bound to be found, said Tnews.

She led the raiding party to some clothes in a wardrobe where 30 Ya Ba were found.

She said that she used to sell the drug but had stopped after her three children begged her not to. She claimed that she was looking after the drugs that belonged to her younger brother.

How she wished she hadn't said she would do that, she told investigators.

Her 16 year old son "A" was found smoking ganga out the back of the house.

Praphan was taken away as her young daughters begged her to stay saying they wanted to go too. It was a pitiful scene, said Tnews, in their headline and story.

The children were handed over to the care of grandparents.

Seven people reportedly live in the house.

The raid was ordered by Naris Niramaiwong, the Bang Lamung district chief, after information was received that the house was being used to deal in drugs.

Using A44 for a common drug bust ?   Thailand does not have laws to deal selling contraband ?

The children will be  taken care of by the grandparents .That happens a lot in Thailand

I guess this lady had a lapse in memory , when she should have gotten rid of the drugs.

Too bad so sad, for another drug user and seller. Good result in the raid.

Geezer

Ah Pattaya's finest!

Only when the culprit is delivered on a plate is an arrest successful.  Look at the number of times the Buffoons in Brown raid places and turn up nothing.

mothers little helper.if I was a maid working 14 hours a day, or doing any job for long hours, I would smoke yaba myself

Good job ! Get rid of the drug dealers and save some lives. Now try to find the source.
