A Norwegian dies mysteriously in room

At 9.15 am on 28th December the Pattaya police and Sawang volunteers together rushed over to investigate at P.S.B. House, located on Central Pattaya Road, where they were informed that a foreigner had died there.

At the scene Mr. Ingvald Nikolai Andreassen, aged 65, a Norwegian National was found on the floor in his room number A3 on the second floor.

Mr. Andreassen was lying faced down to the floor with his right arm on the sofa next to his bed. There was also a bottle of whisky beside his body. The door of his room wasn’t locked.

Witnesses told the police that the deceased has been living in Thailand for about 2 years. He is also known as a regular alcohol drinker. He has a girlfriend who has cohabited with him for a long time but at the moment she returned home to Petchaboon Province many days earlier.

The police think that the deceased must have died because of drinking too much alcohol but his body was sent for autopsy to find the true cause of death since there might be other possibilities since his body was half under the bed!
