Flash floods hit Chaiyaphum

By The Nation

Overnight torrential rains caused waters to overflow an irrigation dyke in the Bamnet Narong district of Chaiyaphum province late Friday night, inundating some 10 tambon, officials said.

The water from the Lam Khan Chu reservoir flooded villages in the 10 tambon where the water level was over a metre high.

Many residents complained that they could not move their belongings upstairs in time and the floodwaters had damaged their electric appliances and vehicles.

With all the rains and flooding in the country, I would think that most people would

be prepared for flooding. Apparently not.

Geezer

Usually residents are given sufficient warning when the gates will be opened and the place will be flooded.
