I live on the darkside and have Sophon TV.

It is now rubbish for english speaking channels

Anybody have any  ideas of what I can buy to get some decent english language channels?

Buy an android tv box (sold in Tukcom or Harbor mall) and subscribe to an IPTV service - assuming you have decent internet speeds.

True is rubbish, endless repeating of the same TV shows and movies, got rid of it after the 6 months was up. My local cable TMN has a better choice of programs for 300 baht a month.

Or better yet, don't waste money on an android box and just connect your PC directly to the TV. At least that way you can try the service before buying the box.

Sorry do not agree , live F1, Moto GP, Golf, et etc Best in my opinion.

I agree that it's OK for sport.

Fine if one likes sport. For those of us that don't Thai tv is rubbish. Up in Chiang Mai it's WETV, which has only 2 English language movie channels, 3 English language news channels and one part time English language series channel, plus the service is pretty poor- often runs late, cuts movies short etc. They do have a pricier package if one is desperate.

Couple of years ago they had more English language options but have been cut.

try TMN on the darkside, I am happy with the amount of english channels, only wish that besides Fox News, they would also offer CNN. otherwise several movie channels, channels with series, bbc world, al jazeera etc.
