Everyone remembers their first crush/love, right?

How did it go?

I'm guessing it wasn't as idealized as in this cute short animated film:

Ahhh - the fairest of them all - the auburn haired beautiful, rosy cheeked Stephanie....

Handled with all the accomplished zest and savoir faire a couple of 9 or 10 year olds can share......

Even bought her a nice flower pendant and had an "S" engraved on it.....

She lived in a first gear type steep hill that I dutifully and love struck-illy trekked/floated up almost every day for the couple of months it lasted....

Bet that pendant is still her

prized possession.....LOL

There were a few crushes in primary/elementary school - but the first crush I was totally head over heels for was Ngaire.

She was in several of my first year high school classes. She wasn't like the other girls. She caught the same bus as me, and sometimes I would stay on the bus to the end (well past my stop) just to sit and talk to her

In photography/media class, we had an assignment to take a natural photo of a person as a subject - I snapped one of her playing around with the camera equipment.  Printed it in Sepia (it was all film in those days)

Had that photo for years.

Alas, in the second year of high school, she moved across the other side of the country.  Never saw her again.

Oh, Ngaire.  What could have been.

Bombshell Italian hottie in my Oz High School class 3 years running. 15-17yo. We were best mates, and sat together every class. Unfortunately I was no Brad Pitt in those days, so the "crush" part was pretty much one sided.  5555

The school gorilla was her overly jealous "boyfriend", so I got beat up a few times just for the hell of it.   5555

It was worth it. Made her like me even more .... just like Hollywood.

Co-incidently, my first wife, and mum to my kids, was Sicilian. Now I've got a Thai wife. Perhaps it's the Italian-Thai long black silky hair and Mediterranean-Thai brown skin that appeals to me. Never thought that angle through before .... well I'll be.

I was about 10 years old in 1966 when a supply teacher ("Miss" Jenny Davenport) took over from our regular "Miss" who was expecting. She was early 20's, gorgeous, funny, and as sexy as a school teacher could get away with (tight tops and mini skirts).

Of course I hadn't reached puberty, so there were "stirrings" but I didn't have any concious sexual thoughts.

She would be at least aged early 70's now, but will always be a 20-ish ash-blonde Goddess to me.

I started falling in "love" regularly as soon as I could speak. I can't remember the first one at all. However, Maryanne was when I was in first grade and she was in third. I was in love from afar, although she was very aware of it.

Hayley Mills. When I was very young.

Sheena McKinley when i was at junior school.

Hayley Mills too- when I was about 8 and saw her in Whistle down the Wind . I saw the movie in a draughty and cold boarding school  on the Yorkshire moors. Kathy could have protected me any time she fancied.
