A mother called Chachoengsao foundation staff yesterday after she discovered a python in her 13 year old son's bedroom.

Thanapha Lekjaiseu, 42, said her son only slept in the room sometimes and the family were using it to store household items.

They left the window open so that the family cat could enter at her leisure to look after a kitten.

Yesterday at 7am she saw that the snake had swallowed the family pet and was attacking the kitten.

he snake catches were called and managed to get the three meter long snake out from under the bed in a ten minute operation.

Though staff member Natthaphon Bunmee was bitten on the thumb of the right hand in the process.

The snake was returned to nature.

My 2 cats would disagree but a pet python would get a soi dog every day for dinner where I live .

Must of been a scrawny mother cat.  Python should have been pretty lethargic and not bothering with the kitten otherwise...

I thought a cat would know when a snake was around and let you know   ??

I agree. The cat probably legged it! The python doesn't appear to look as though it was digesting anything.

Yep, it was still hungry and tried to swallow Mr Bummee too.
