What are you babbling about. There are literally thousands of posts in various "tax" threads over the last 18 months since they made a rule change - no new laws. There is also no evidence that Immigration will request some kind of tax payment receipt - it may happen but currently not. Thai tax rates are tiered, like the UK, and their are various allowances so blanket statements like 5% are rubbish. If you are not aware start reading the into here -

Tax Clearance Certificate

People can be their own worst enemy........ Why didn't he do some more research.......it has been mentioned all over these threads but people like him are making it a potential self fulfilling prophecy...... -
As mentioned CC's have a 99 baht breakfast......surely should be comparing like with like....... In the past I have had the CC breakfast when it was 89 baht. Certainly the 99 baht breakfast at Nickys is better value to me than that was.

April 13th should not be so much of an issue. It is the 19th where everything is gridlocked - IE Sukhumvit and all roads to the west.

Tax Clearance Certificate

Do you know what made your friend think that? It has been discussed on here in various tax threads quite a few times including the link you posted but the discussion always ends with it not being generally operational at the moment. -
That looks interesting - what is the green stuff at 4 o'clock?

UK International State Pension calculation.

Nope - not unless originally due 2016 or before https://www.gov.uk/deferring-state-pension/what-you-get That link also tells you exactly the amounts you would get currently. (based on full entitlement) -
I remember this question was in an online primer for the test and certainly the answer in that was that the yellow car had right of way - which I was gob smacked at the time and still do not really understand it.,

NEW payment system- Tagthai

However reading the FAQs you have to exchange foreign currency first - as you need to link it to the Pay and Tour prepaid card. So ok if you have foreign currency lying around......... https://www.kasikornbank.com/en/personal/Digital-banking/Pages/pay&tour.aspx I wonder what their exchange rates are like - presume the same as the booths at the time? -
This is probably a stupid question but a mc (125cc) battery seems dead as has not been used for a couple of months. Battery is not that old - less than 18 months. I have heavy duty jump leads - can I use them on it from my truck?

However labour costs here at a main dealer are probably a fifth/tenth of the UK ones? Before Covid I stopped my gf using them after a few questionable services and after discussions with a neighbour who at the time was QC manager at the localish Ford factory. My gf found a local guy for basic services but our mileage is a lot lower. I would probably look at someone like Sakda? who gets recommended on here.

New Google Docs: "Help Me Write"....What IS this garbage?

or even Google anything! (caveat - unless you want working banking apps in Thailand ) -
I am not sure it's even relevant the way you talk about it. It surely comes down to If you send in the equivalent to Thailand and the money is assessable (IE not savings pre 2024 or govt. pension in the UK case) then you could declare and pay tax after you have calculated your TEDA which could include - The tax free allowance in the UK is irrelevant to that calculation. And if you want a credit against any tax paid in the UK - good luck in being able to put that currently on the tax forms..........

Yes well anybody suggesting any of the banks here have had an interest rate on a "savings" account acceptable to Immigration anywhere close to 8% in recent memory either doesn't live here or didn't engage their brain first. Personally I am disappointed in myself that I was so polite in my first reply to you.........

Would be nice however calls to landlines/mobile numbers was never free with Skype....... For infrequent usage however Skype was cheap enough and MyTello maybe a potential option for some

I don't use Wise but this thread prompted me to try and have a look at their Ts and Cs. I can understand many of the restrictions but their list is extensive - https://wise.com/us/acceptable-use-policy-inc The language to me is confusing as under 1.2 they say lawful transactions are ok but then follow up with a paragraph that says This list includes "adult content", online pharmacies and IPTV and VoIP providers.........amongst others.

There are ways of phrasing a question or questions in this instance, that would make you sound less like a shill for Wise........ Especially someone with only a couple of posts to their name. What about all those charity accounts that were frozen a few years ago by UK banks. Were they doing something illegal - https://www.theguardian.com/money/2023/dec/09/charities-barclays-frozen-bank-accounts

Do you have a link to show that this is available? I don't remember seeing any accounts from SCB paying this level of interest for a long time - not to say they haven't been offered. However looking through the SCB web site the max I came across was 2.05%. Likewise Bangkok Bank where you can see historical rates as well as current - I couldn't see anything over 2+ %.....?

Apologies the reply was not to you - I was using your post as the answer to the other poster.
