My God - that took me years to perfect - failed Kindergarten as teacher refused to tie insisting must learn at home - home said teacher would do. Still have nightmares about that. Forgot to add - now can not even reach that low. ????

As very few will be using such a system not much chance in a 7-11 or grocery store I suspect - I did search a bit a decade or so ago after having at an upcountry hotel so expect they are available (although not sure of type) at a hotel service provider. Also expect cost may be rather high if you do find. It looks like you can make your own from the Lazada adds so that might be an option.

I may be in left field - is it the actual loaded coffee pods you require? In that case have no experience. To us the Moccona we have used for the last 50 years is both cheap and good so no need. Perhaps Starbucks sell and this comes up on search: https://www.nespresso.com/th/th/order/capsules/cocoa-truffle-coffee-capsule?gclid=CjwKCAiAiKuOBhBQEiwAId_sK4gZvKt6tDo_IbImo1-MjQujD3cdUkn2s1WtIh4I7HjOQVu1pcVQixoCd5cQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Lazada is the largest and most reliable online ordering source in Thailand; they or Shopee are the only two I use anymore so if just for canister they would be a good choice.

Try a Google search for Thailand. https://www.google.com/search?q=keurig+coffee+pods&sxsrf=AOaemvKxNunUugXuGV23A-AeaeSYv881Mw%3A1640759779788&ei=4wHMYfq4L7ueseMP6-qfEA&oq=Keurig+coffee+pod&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAEYAjIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQ6BwgjELADECc6BwgAEEcQsAM6BwgAELADEEM6CAgAEOQCELADOhAILhDHARCjAhDIAxCwAxBDOhAILhDHARDRAxDIAxCwAxBDOgQIABBDOgoILhDHARDRAxBDOgoIABCABBCHAhAUOgUIABCRAkoECEEYAEoECEYYAVDmCljbMWC0UmgBcAJ4AIABnAOIAbsekgEFMy05LjKYAQCgAQHIARPAAQE&sclient=gws-wiz

Surface Pro 7 typecover "Thai keyboard" available in Thailand?
lopburi3 replied to webhost's topic in IT and Computers
Local sold appears to have Thai/English keyboard just like any other computer. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/microsoft-surface-pro-7-i58128win10homeplatinum-with-type-cover-i852052333-s7146022159.html?exlaz=d_1:mm_150050845_51350205_2010350205::12:12654756915!117524295342!!!pla-294682000766!c!294682000766!7146022159!187671225&gclid=Cj0KCQiA5aWOBhDMARIsAIXLlkf4jr5xjetKwf50IGCE2-sBC8I6WHkAskMsOqGkyjNjOq94CU0_8eAaAnKbEALw_wcB -
That is a fairly large room - as said how many windows/insulation and how cold you need it can makes a huge difference. Being in Udorn (I still spell it 1960's) and home expect you will not need too much cooling so 12k may indeed be enough - you can always install another if one is not enough and then have backup if one fails. But suspect I would go 15k myself as price not that much more and inverter is best when not full out.

Wise Gets It Wrong Again!
lopburi3 replied to Havenstreet1940's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Which will be less than the rate used by Wise and subject to additional fee in baht once exchange made. For large transfers where the Wise charge is substantial this may be cost effective but for monthly living expense transfers it normally is not. -

Actually cost is the 9.50 plus fee in Thailand to receive plus any exchange rate loss and possibility of intermediate bank fee if not a direct transfer. -
PSAS Refuses All Credit Cards
lopburi3 replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
But I am old. No worry about points. Cash is the exchange rate. Cards are what have foreign transaction fees. I do understand cards say they are the brave new world - but I was around before there were any and well recall when it became a PIA to rent a car without when back in USA - but still could do. 50 years later can still live without them (although have a few). But for frequent travelers am sure they are a staple these days - but for normal overseas living not so much - better to have local bank accounts. -

Never had a Subway sandwich yet. ???? -
Probably good to check SEER but if you have used and happy with them expect they will be fine. Some cheaper units (and not so cheap) use poor plastics that not only discolor but make excessive noise when in operation - but believe current models are likely of better quality if inverter models. SEER can get quite high these days (less wattage used) so if for the long term worth paying more in some cases.

PSAS Refuses All Credit Cards
lopburi3 replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Indeed it appears they are going that path - perhaps more to do with money tracking than business I suspect. I will still try to have baht in the wallet however. In this thread appears it was not a personal visit (as had wrongly assumed) but electronic so indeed cards or some such system would be required. -
The is no requirement to file FBAR for a non resident ITIN joint tax filer if not living in USA. They are only treated as a US Person for joint tax account filing. https://www.google.com/search?q=fbar+filing+requirement+for+non+resident+itin+alian&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t If wife has limited income it is normal to file joint return. New policy I believe is apply for ITIN with first tax return and in later years just use the ITIN on return.

I am one who made the change to electric from blade (and still hate it). But at about 80 and taking Plavix seemed to be cutting myself more than normal (almost never before) so made the change on my own. Was taking another medication, for cancer, at the time and had severe bleeding issues and stopped with that so expect might be able to shave with blade without too many issues now but have got used to the stubble feeling a bit so will continue. Must say shavers made for Asia/cheap do not seen to work well for heavy beard and have to use Philips OneBlade to actually cut much. Not smooth as a blade shave but at least not feel like a Brillo pad.

Cost of 14 days in the hospital if I test positive on arrival?
lopburi3 replied to mitebbots's topic in Health and Medicine
You must read faster than the average bear. My FEP BS/BC is probably as good as they come for being plain language - but still 164 pages. -
Link does work for a Thailand IP - I have checked it. Or just search Lazada for appliance paint or epoxy or Shopee for appliance epoxy. https://shopee.co.th/search?keyword=appliance epoxy

PSAS Refuses All Credit Cards
lopburi3 replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Wonder if payment might be effected by the recent change in national sandbox system (suspended) and Phuket being exempted but got cut off? Perhaps will be corrected if that is the case. ((or maybe not)) Sorry my original post wrong assumption of payment at site. -

PSAS Refuses All Credit Cards
lopburi3 replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OK - I admit I am not a fan of plastic but would not expect many people to use a credit card to pay a few baht bill in Thailand. Would you expect immigration to accept your card for extension of stay also? If this for actual tests there are ATM's everywhere that do accept cards for cash. Or is this a mail order type charge? Cash is still a major payment path here.
