  1. With your opinion of Thai workers, then you'd be less inclined to park a petrol car near the house, as they're more likely to flame up, any day. Buddha forbid a Thai should be working on one. A ticking bomb just waiting to go off. Better not move to Thailand, they're everywhere, screwing every thing up, I'm afraid to leave the house Oh crap ... the wife is Thai The Hate just Rocks On with some people
  2. Yep, same with solar installations, in just over 3 yrs. Couldn't really find many, now even have a local one <5 kms away. Even saw a news blip of a guy in TH, using EV batteries for solar systems. There's at least one shop, I read about that will convert vehicles to BEV. There's a Thai factory here that puts out low spec'd E-trucks. Nothing goes to waste in 3rd world countries, and everything can be repurposed. No really market for BEV repair shops yet, as everything is probably still under warranty
  3. Live a completely opposite lifestyle of his and ma's and I'll be much better off. They were chain smoking, alcoholics & bigots and damn embarrassing at times. Aside from the bigot part, they walked it like they talked it, and had a big heart, so big respect there. No hypocrisy.
  4. Battery specs, rating and dimension will help tell you if 'authentic'. Plus Samsung with have a very readable, scannable, bar code with product & serial #. Lishen battery ... that's a good thing, as Samsung does use lishen batteries.
  5. HEY ... why mess with the gals' (or guys') money stream. Working hard and not hurting anyone. Developing their on line business for selling good feelings worldwide The ding dong farang (if farang) feels good about saving the world, or one part of it, then all is good.
  6. Wouldn't call it a hoax, as the virus does appear to be a real thing. Definitely call it a fear mongering, money making scam, knock the middle class down a rung or 2, that did more harm to healthy people than good ... IMHO ... emphasis on healthy, that chose the vaccine. The old & sickly were on borrowed time anyway. One infection away from death, whether the seasonal flu or some other minor bug.

  8. No need to spend more than 250 baht for a good burger. Even that's a bit much, as a local vendor puts out a very nice Wagyu burger w/fries for 179 baht. Had a Double Whopper yesterday for dinner, and damn it was good. ฿1 per gr of perfectly charred beef (฿249), freshly prepared (assembled) nice & hot. At PTT Park, on hwy 4, just south of hwy 35 intersection. So much better than the Bk @ Bluport Mall / Hua Hin. Yea, should have adjusted the lettuce before snapping, but I was hungry, no time to waste ... 😎
  9. Big oil has been using H cars as a distracting from BEV, for almost 30 yrs. Ever since GM proved you could mass produce an EV (EV 1) and market it, without even trying to, and had a waiting list for customers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_EV1
  10. That's one way to get an innocent snake killed
  11. Agree. have a few Koels around the house, along with lots of other birds. Love listening to them. Had an Open-billed perch in a coconut tree, just outside our wall the other day.
  12. That's a long piece of string ... as depends on the sandwich. Quality ingredients don't really need dressing. Does enhance the flavor of some, though. I think most vendors use way too much, since going cheap on ingredients. Why we rarely order sandwiches out.
  13. Along with all the blonde haired Thais ...
  14. The WLTP's 320 kms rated range for the MG ZS EV is a fallacy. First leg from PKK to BKK yesterday, and the dog didn't even make 142 kms / 2 hr, before barking & whining .... 'LET ME OUT, I got to P, drop a land mind' 320 kms .... don't believe it 320 kms my A$$ ... well, the dogs A$$ Fine, little bitch ... plug in, walk dog ... what the hell, a nice Chicken Massaman sounds good. 46.3 kWh (usable battery) ÷ 13.2kWh per 100 kms = 350 kms Massaman done, now time for Hazelnut coffee, as temp down now, and about to drink. 94% already, and I think I finished coffee @ 97%. We always exceed the WLTP's 320 range at highway speeds, 90 kph, when possible. With CC set @ 90 kph, and AC set @ 22-24C. Usually get 360 kms per full charge around town, at speeds closer to the WLTP testing average speed of 47 kph. Mixed speeds around town, 30-60-90 kph. Since I rarely eat anything that early in the morning, within the hour, needed to stop again 🙄 at any PTT, for an emergency stop. Oh look, a charger here, plug in again, why not. 75% back to 90% before I returned to the car. Actually worked out good, as didn't need charge again, till dinner time, and halfway back home to PKK.
  15. Office dependent, as I didn't need any of that.
  16. Nah ... just not in closet any more. More probably experimenting since the stigma is less.
  17. May want to reread my post, as I didn't make any assumptions or conclusions. Not enough info to do so.
  18. I enlisted in '76', and was still in HS till '73'.
  19. I posted 19 hours ago, and at the time, that was the only info available, 'ship hit bridge', not other info, 'power failure' & etc. Any vids I noticed, simply showed the accident with no real info. Unavailable information, is not ignorance. Same as the lack of info in the OP. What ever makes you feel better. Have a nice day.
  20. "Many Cambodian internet users took to social media urging news outlets and online pages to delete the story, concerned it might deter foreign visitors already nervous about travel safety."
  21. A what if scenario, that isn't going to happen in out life time ... but to answer... no, no, no, pension is irrelevant, as don't need. If BBL not accessible, answered below already ... aside from food, people need clothes.
