  1. They really watered that down. Guess they don't want to be banned from the program. NASA & Boeing screwed them big time. And Biden, for not letting Musk bring them back before the election, thus giving him a thumbs up, and can't do that, since he was campaigning for Trump. What an embarrassment, all around. Biden, NASA & Boeing should be ashamed of themselves. Not to mention the wasted millions on failed projects.
  2. Mostly photos and videos. Majority of the photos taken Dec 2018 and onward, as finally bought a real interchangeable lens camera.. Never did transfer any print photos over to digital. Drone photos & videos from 2011 onward. All they big drives are empty now, as all transferred to small SSD drives. Wife has six 2TB drives to sell.
  3. We don't need the grid at all. Just stay conx, JIC, system has an oops. Will occasionally use to charge the car, if needed after coming back from an O&A, as like coming back at 20%. We were O&A quite a bit in 2023, so a few months, on home 20 days, or less. 2023 ... Months we were away longer than a week ... 2024 ... I think I stopped keeping track for a while, as missing Oct, Nov Dec
  4. First couple months, we were being conservative, seeing how little we could use, and overcast, rainy season, so used fans instead of AC when comfy enough. Aug 4th to 31st, and rest of 2022. We were staying local, maybe just a local day out.
  5. It will only produce just a wee bit over what we consume, as inverter uses about 80w / hr. Think of it the same as water supply to a house. If not using it, it doesn't need to be brought in. Or petrol from tank to the engine. When the inverter senses a need for electric, simple allows more electrons to enter and be dispersed. Yes, charging the ESS is consumption. The March 2025 graph above shows what and where going and % used for feed the load. Of course if we exported, then I could easily produce 1500kWh a month, on a good, sunny month. We we did test exporting, and it did produce 50kWh for the day, and wasn't even a clear day. We didn't own the MG ZS EV then. The only 8 days we exported, before getting the digital meter.
  6. Depending on the policy of course, if wanting basic, el'cheap or extras, at additional cost of course. Another silly generalization that does not 'fit all' 🙄
  7. Used the thickest insulated BlueScope (3 thickness available ?) on present house, and 3 yrs on, and staying firmly on. Insulation wise, works great, with added rolled out insulation on all the ceilings. Also used the aerated block, K block or whatever version name goes by (not cinder), and the house stays very cool. South & West walls are almost entirely shaded. Sun is off the East facing glass doors by 0800 hrs, due to extended roof over the veranda, and full indoor curtain are used to block the sunlight. Little ambient comes through the glass itself. Have a 13k BTU in the bedroom (~25m²), and a 24k BTU in the main house area (~80m²). Open door between those rooms, and house stays very cool. ACs don't struggle at all. Laundry & storage room run the length of South wall, as buffer to main house. Carport on West side of house.
  8. Healthy ... simply choose wisely. Cooked fresh and hot in front of you, if not take away. Also ... What is street food ? To me, that's a push cart on the street or walkway, or same at a night market. Not a brick & mortar building with running water, as that's simply a restaurant. Ma/pa, family owned small shophouse...still a restaurant. If a permanent 'stall' at a market, also having running water, then that's a restaurant also. Hygiene, so far, so good, and been ill 2X in TH, from food, and from nice, popular restaurants. Strangely, the same amount of time, ~25 yr span, ill from food in USA, also 2X, and from restaurants.
  9. 1800 - 0800 hr overnight is usually 6 - 8 kWh, as that's simply what we use, all that is needed. Only 1 AC on, if needed, and we're usually in the bedroom, unless snacking. Laptop / TV (65" monitor) is in bedroom, for torrents. Never curtail, restrict use of solar. Beginning of the month had nice temps, so didn't break 800kWh, let alone 1000kWh. If home for whole month, then Feb, Mar, Apr & May, we can hit 8-9-1000+kWh. There's only 2 of us. If another person & bedroom AC on, or main room AC on, then we'd use twice as much, or more. ACs are heavy duty inverters, and once at temp, they really don't use much on low fan. TV only uses 100w per hour, and that's usually off around midnight. Unless really high temps overnight ... ... 1800-0000 hrs uses ~4-500w / hr ... 0000-0800 hrs uses <300w / hr Higher use months (900+kWh) were ... ... April 2023, 989kWh ... May 2023, 1000+kWh ... April 2024, 1000+kWh March 2023 was about the same use, 764kWh. March 2024 was much less, 581kWh, but we were O&A for 12 days.
  10. No ... wasn't my idea. I posted in different thread, and mod moved my post, to this new thread, not started by me. All those drives are unplugged, and not in use. Need to move files from 2 of them, to the new drive I just got, then the wife can sell 'em. Something for me to do tomorrow. Original thread: https://aseannow.com/topic/1329108-what-do-you-do-with-all-your-free-time/
  11. Nah, just move one folder into same folder, as already sorted by locations, camera body and or lens, along with year. Let windows sort the dupes, and simply delete. Will still have dupes, as destinations (province & cities) are usually the best of. Camera and lens are all of photos take with said camera body and lens. About 4 camera bodies and 7 lens. Along with phones & years. I just typed a long reply, and it disappeared, along with above post, now in a new thread. I think a mod moved my post, out of old thread.
  12. FINALLY, after 20- years ... I got you Nobody really know ... it's just a theory 😎 Need to pop in, next time in UT, if ever. Ree can work on her fishing, while we discuss saving the world.
  13. Might be a good time to head to the west coast, before rainy season & rough seas May the fake news continue ... "I heard ... tsunami being mentioned" ... shh DISCLAIMER: this is FAKE news Real news below .. 4.0+ in last 24 hous source: https://www.volcanodiscovery.com/earthquakes/today.html
  14. Past couple days, consolidation my Ext HDDs. Lots of dupe files, from a few laptops. Really need to do that on a monthly basis, instead of letting them sit way too long. These are mostly 1TB drives, and except for 2, got them down to the small Sandisk drives. Waiting for a 2TB drive to arrive today, and then everything, last 2 to moved over, will be on the small SSD drives. Wife can sell the other big, older, slow drives.
  15. Did someone mention Burgers ... ... simple, basic, 150 gr of fresh ground lean beef, cooked in Beef Tallow, on soft bun. Added tomato sauce. ... fit in my mouth, didn't fall apart, and damn tasty. very Beefy ... only cost ฿45 (beef ฿38.25 / roll ฿6) ... might do that again for dinner 😎
  16. I'll send again ... just tried, and they both opened. Did you see the FB Marketplace links: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1453893178922230/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A239e4802-8a93-4980-801a-81fd5756a75d https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2648521375339803/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Ae17cf704-11c6-4152-acd8-4b545316f8d1
  17. fine him, charge him 100k for people to clean up & repaint the boxes, and deport him, banned for life to return. you can't fix stupid
  18. I sent you a message and found the camera and lens I suggested on Facebook marketplace.
  19. What's your budget. Good gear is not cheap, does make a difference, especially for birding. Also doesn't mean it has to be silly price. I'm a Sony fan. Mirrorless and 'cropped' body, a much better value, and gives you more reach / zoom-ability, for wildlife. Meaning if the lens is 350mm, you'll get 525m out of it. Birding is my thing, along with everything else. Editing software ... I use LR (Lightroom), for minor editing, or other times, when is saved my butt. Also use DeNoize, which is amazing. LR is subscription base, unfortunately, though I got it for free. Denoize is buy once, and well worth it, especially on sale. For $1000 USD / ฿35K, you should be able to pick up a used camera body & zoom lens. I'd recommend looking for 2nd hand Sony a6400 & E70-350mm F4.5-6.3 G OSS, if you can find for price stated, or more if have it. Use your smart phone for anything else. Don't worry about age, as I didn't buy a interchangeable lens kit until I was 64, only 6 yrs ago. A great hobby.
  20. If so, then it's a released or escaped pet, and not native to TH.
  21. Isn't everyone happy, happier when they are in control ? I quite enjoy being different, which I definitely am, but you wouldn't know that, since you don't know me ... go figure.
  22. Personally I wouldn't call anything in Thailand, 'World Class', including healthcare. Saying that, it seems to be more than adequate for most things. If you come from a universal healthcare country (not USA) then you certainly won't find it inexpensive, but you will have instant access if and when needed, at private hospitals, and many govt hospitals. I've been quite happy with minor issues tended to & procedures done, and far from expensive. But I'm a Yank, so that's very relative to some silly pricing in the USA.
