Minix Android Box

Featured Replies

I have been using the Minix Android Box for several months now and have just decided to buy one more to set up in the bedroom.

I am now at Fortune and cannot find any Android boxes.

Are they now illegal?

There are many shops selling android boxes in Fortune.

Ground floor and 3rd floor - Iplus studio

Ground Floor - Wemedia

2nd floor - PCsupply, Digilifegadget

For Minix U1 and U9-H devices the shops selling them are PC supply (cheapest), Iplusstudio

Oops. Yes I found them.
I was on the wrong floor and thought they had closed down

I have the U1 with Android 5.1. Be careful as some newer apps will not run on it. Found out the hard way. But use it daily.

Thanks for warning, but what apps don't run on Android 5.1? I knew Kitkat was a problem, but not aware of this.

Kodi 17.4 will not just for one, you need Android 6 or 7...  Kodi 18 'Leia' is in Beta at moment and 64 bit.

Lots of places still trying to sell off Android 4 and 5 Boxes, so take a good look at what Apps you want to load, will brand new or new updated apps run on a old obsolete box ?

this is my favorite shop for android boxes, the guy is very clued up on his stuff and will knock off 500 baht off his online prices,

if your after a branded box that gets updated by the maker on a regular basis, then buy from here.

if your just after a cheap bit of chinese sh*t then buy from anywhere

Yes your right, stand corrected........................ I had Android 4, and had to buy a new box long ago, have Android 6 'Marshmallow'   of course now is Android 7 'Nougat'

Nothing too important. I use some phonics apps for my students and they now do not run on 5.1 after they updated the app. Anything over 5.1 the apps run well, up to 7.1.

Bought an Android 6 from Lazada,1,470 baht, delivered in 2 days, works very well with Pulse.

I was warned not to use an Android 5 why ?  I have no idea.

I've got Kodi 17.4 running on Android 5.1.1 although not a Minix. Do you mean Minix only?

edit. Sorry - just read you corrected your comment in later post to Android Kitkat. OK agreed.
