Your to far removed. Need to be closer to the action towards Loi Khro. There are a few bars in the LT area that are OK daytime venues but for viewing as you say I'll give em a pass.

One really doesnt have to be a mind reader , it was quite obvious really .

I suspect that you knew as well, but you just wanted to be argumentative

It's a short walk to Loi Kroh and Spotlight, though the quality of viewing is debatable.  A short walk north inside the moat will take you to bars popular with expats and frequent visitors; medium size ones next to the moat, smaller ones down the sois.  I don't frequent these areas (anymore) so I can't make any recommendations.

What kind of bar are you looking for?

Dont worry about the ghosts, its the fat germans and their companions that will put you off your cold fried eggs, salad and white bread at breakfast

I stayed at Lai Tai last year and it's a fine location, near the old city and not too far from Loi Kroh Rd.

A few nice restaurants along the moat road towards L K. Bars at the moat end are too quiet for me, and the only place even attempting to be a decent barbeer complex is same side of the road as Imperial, but before the road to the Imperial. It has boxing ring and some nights they close that area off and make people pay to see boxing. The rest of the bars are still free to go in. To get there, don't go along the moat to Loi Kroh, go up the big road near the hotel and walk up past the Imperial, turn left and almost there. Don't blink or you will miss the entrance. There is a ?sporting goods shop beside the entrance but you can see the boxing ring at the far end, with bars either side of the passage way.

I don't think so, but if it had been the prices would have gone up, so who cares?

It's got everything one needs. If one wants flash, go elsewhere and pay more.

Seriously? Unless you call a solitary ladyboy hiding in the shadows some distance away a "large pool", you are mistaken.

Not the downstairs room I stayed in. No more noisy than any other hotel I ever stayed at.

I should have said To get there, don't go along the moat to Loi Kroh. Turn left to the big road near the hotel, turn left and walk along it past the Imperial entrance to the road to the corner of the Imperial property, turn left, walk along beside the Imperial to Loi Kroh Rd, turn left and almost there.

That way avoids the narrow pavements and obstacles along Loi Kroh.
