Thailand has long-been a popular tourist destination, with its unique culture and breath-taking landscapes and beaches attracting visitors from all parts of the world.

In recent years, the country's hospitals and medical facilities have tapped into this customer service culture and have capitalized on the growing medical tourism market.

The private hospitals and clinics here offer state-of-the-art facilities and superior treatments, and all at significantly lower rates than hospitals in other countries.

How Much can I Save by Undergoing Treatment in Thailand?

It has become a rip-off in the last few years.  You're better off going to somewhere like Hungary (if you are European) or Mexico if you are North American.

Don't forget to factor in air fares (preferably, if going to LoS, in Business Class ---  approx. US3,500 to $6,000).

I tried this service for a dental extraction.  Was sent 40km north of Pattaya to a private hospital.  Total cost was 3,300 baht.  I somehow doubt that qualifies as the lowest price for this service.  The service was first class.  The bill was inflated by a 940 baht charge for antibiotics and over the counter pain pills.  I suspect that this charge is just to protect the patient from a hospital contracted infection.  Very pleasant experience but not cheap!
