Sanook reported that a peeping Tom looked over the cubicle in the ladies toilets at Government House eyeing a female reporter doing her business.

Despite a search by police the miscreant remained at large.

Sanook asked how such a security breach could happen at a place that is the center of the Thai government.

The incident happened at the first floor lavatories of Building 1 where a deputy premier has his offices.

At noon several civil servants and reporters were in the ladies at the loos that have four cubicles.

One reporter doing her business in cubicle 3 was aghast that a man was standing on the bowl in cubicle four looking in on her.

The man - aged about 20, well dressed but with no ID tag - was confronted.

He blurted out that he had never been there before and then ran off.

The ladies reported to police based at the building but despite a search they could not find the Peeping Tom.

Sanook lamented that it was poor that at a place where security was supposedly tight and where decisions of state were decided that such an incident could occur.

Maybe he was shocked to find he was in a WC with females and was checking if he was in the right toilet and if he had not been there before it may come as a surprise to him to share toilet with females. A pervert peering over the toilet may not see a whole lot either. Sounds unintentional.

I'm surprised that question was asked, knowing how many government officials have been in the headlines!  Unless the reporter was just showing his sense of humour.

Dahh No male piss troughs is a good indication of whether a Female or male toilet. You sound like the offender?

Sometimes the human body needs something besides releasing urine and maybe just maybe he was bursting which would explain his error. He seemed to try to explain his error which makes me think he made an error and then got caught in a very embarressing position whilst trying to perhas confirm his fears. Im giving this young piss watcher the benegit of the doubt and I've recommended to the guvnor to keep an eye on the foit prints on the toilet, going forward

And tomorrow we may read- Contractor awarded with 100.000 Thb job for production and installation of two dozen sign boards in government house toilets saying:

"Beware of the Limbo Dancer!"

'Sanook asked how such a security breach could happen at a place that is the center of the Thai government.' That says all there is to say about the centre of Thailand's governing body.

'The incident happened at the first floor lavatories of Building 1 where a deputy premier has his offices.' I hadn't realised the government was that hard up. Perhaps a sub. less, and they can afford to provide him with a proper office.

'At noon several civil servants and reporters were in the ladies at the loos that have four cubicles ... One reporter doing her business in cubicle 3 was aghast that a man was standing on the bowl in cubicle four looking in on her.' So where were the several other civil servants and reporters, especially given there are only the four cubicles?
