HUA HIN: -- As the high season for tourism at Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan province has set to begin in October, the provincial police will step up security measures, including use of helicopters for rescue operations along the coastline, Pol Maj Gen Angkul Klaiklueng says.

Pol Maj Gen Angkul, commnder of the 3rd Tourist Police Division, said this after taking an inspection trip to tourist spots in the municipal area including Hua Hin beaches, night markets and beer bars on Wednesday (Sept 20).

He was accompanied in the inspection by officials of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and representatives of tourism business associations in Hua Hin and Cha-am.

Very impressive show of horse oh I meant force !

Looks more like a donkey derby on Blackpool beach.:cheesy:

This can't possibly be real.....the RTP hiring horses?

They took them off footwork....then gave them motorcycles....and now this....and I'll bet they still go the wrong way when on the roads!

I live in Hua Hin. After the bombing we had a increase in the number of police in the areas where (in other parts of the world) you would expect to see police patrolling 24/7.

From zero to squads of forest rangers standing around.

Now we are back to zero.

My money is on number 35 in the photo. I think it will be a tight race.

Some horses are smaller than others - poor animal !

In recent weeks I have come across army checkpoints late at night. Good to see.
