10 central provinces to get flash floods, heavy rains to Oct 5

The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department on Saturday warned residents of 10 central provinces to brace themselves for heavy rains and possible flash floods from Saturday until October 5.

 

With heavy rains expected throughout the period, residents should keep abreast of weather updates, warned Chatchai Promlert, director general of the department, said the Meteorological Department.

 

Chatchai said the 10 at-risk provinces are Chainat, Singburi, Angthong, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Ayutthaya, Suphan Buri, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan.
