An investigation is underway after a primary school student fell out of a bus via the emergency door onto the road.

The accident happened on a left handed bend in the road. The child fell out of a right sided door.

The child suffered only minor injuries to hip, arm and leg areas.

The bus was the first of three in a convoy with a police escort. The party of primary children and teachers had been on a trip to an elephant sanctuary and were 4-5 kilometers from completing their journey back.

The accident happened in Chompu sub-district near the Na Kuam intersection. The bus and convoy completed its journey back to school.

The school is a well known private establishment in the Lampang area.

The shocked driver said that he had slowed down for a bend and was then told by the police that a child had fallen onto the road.

It is not known if the children were playing or there was faulty equipment.

An investigation is underway.

Not sitting in a seat with a seatbelt on?

Oh right, of course, the seatbelts were probably removed or tied up because using them actually preempts an accident, causing it to happen!

There simply is no hope.

If you have children here, never, ever leave them solely in the care of Thai raised Thais.

Did the police flee the scene?
