50 teenagers arrested in Ayutthaya for planning road race

By The Nation

Ayutthaya police, troops and Interior Ministry officials arrested some 50 teenagers and seized their 40 modified motorcycles on suspicion that they were making preparation to race on main road.

Some 150 police, troops and Interior Ministry officials were deployed to check the Rojana Road and other main roads between Mueang district and Uthai district following complaints that teenagers often raced there at night.

The officials arrested teenagers when they found that their motorcycles were modified for racing.

Their vehicles were seized for further legal action and their parents were summoned and warned to watch their children to ensure they do not break laws.Deputy Ayutthaya police chief Pol Col Sang Thirasranyanon said he would like to remind teenagers, who like to race on the road, that this month is the mourning period so they should avoid causing trouble.

Drive over all the bikes with a street packer  then give the remains back to these teen

heros.  Let it be a lesson to not be modifying bikes to show off with.
