Wrong area.

For a long time my dogs always used one grassy far corner as their toilet. Easy to clean up every couple of days.

Lately they have decided that the driveway is a better place for their daily 'offerings'

I don't hit dogs but when scolded for it they do slink off looking a bit, well, scolded.

Do you think that after a scrub up of their favourite area feeding them there would change their habits?

Meant to say scrub their new area.

Our dogs will generally go onto the grassy driveway which is ok with me. However when the grass is wet they prefer to do their business in the garage or even in the workshop if I don't supervise.

It is a fact that in cities where 'dog toilet' areas have been set up, dogs don't like to use them even though they do get cleaned regularly. I bet emptying a barrow of fresh  earth on your preferred corner will get them back there.

Sounds like a good idea.

Don't put their food near the area where they usually do their business. Dogs normally won't use this as their toilet area, ie, they won't 'kee' where they eat.

This isn't their usual area. It's in front of the garage.  Their usual area is 15 metres away.

This morning clean the area and gave them some food in their bowls and no dog offerings there. Tonight about 5 gave them their usual meal in the same area instead of next to us in our sitting area.

Usually, lately, the offerings appear not long after food but so far nothing has been deposited. I've left the bowls in-situ so tomorrow morning I'll see what has gone on.
