webfact
Cambodian deported for smuggling 69 passports By The Nation Immigration police arrested an unnamed Cambodian man on Tuesday at a border checkpoint in Sa Kaew after 69 Cambodian passports were found in his possession. The 34-year-old man was detained at the Aranyaprathet checkpoint. He said the passports were authentic and their owners were in Cambodia waiting for employment in Samut Prakan. The man said he was travelling to Samut Prakan to show the passports to factory owners to ask whether they were interested in employing the prospective workers. However, immigration police said they doubted the claim and transferred the man to a Cambodian consular office pending his deportation and a follow-up investigation. I'd think a simple photo with persons age would suffice. Getting a work visa would be an immigration issue, ie., having a valid passport. Claim is suspicious.
