This is what thought: most people here confuse UNGA with UN. UN is a conglomerate of agencies that includes organisations such as WIPO, ITU, ACOA, IAEA and many others. While some agencies such as UNWRA are abhorrent, UNICEF, UNHCR, UNDP saved Millions of lives and keep doing so. I worked for several of these agencies from 19.89 to 2015. Doesn't make me an expert but I don't mind sharing the little knowledge I have. -

Swedish Tourist Robbed of Over 40,000 Baht After Heavy Drinking in Pattaya
A 65-year-old Swedish tourist was robbed of cash and valuables worth over 40,000 baht after stopping to rest while heavily intoxicated. The incident occurred in the early hours of November 27 near Pattaya City School 8 in South Pattaya, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. Police from Pattaya City Police Station were alerted to the theft at 03:35 and quickly arrived at the scene. The victim, identified as Mr. Lars Reikwike, reported that a man, described as appearing effeminate, approached him and stole 2,000 baht in cash and a gold ring valued at over 40,000 baht before fleeing. Mr. Vinai, 50, a motorcycle taxi driver who witnessed the incident, stated that the tourist, who appeared very drunk, had stopped to rest while waiting for transportation back to his accommodation. The alleged perpetrator, who is known to frequent the area, noticed the tourist’s condition and approached him under the guise of offering help. Sensing something suspicious, Mr. Vinai intervened and warned the man not to bother the tourist. However, the robbery had already taken place before police arrived. Authorities have documented the scene and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and locate the suspect. I don't believe that. They just played by the rules as they wanted to take the high road. Failing to realize (after nearly 8 years) that politics has changed drastically. So until they come to the conclusion that to win it back, they have to stop following the rules and act more like Republicans. Otherwise it will be a Republican government for at least 16 years. By then the USA as you have known it, will no longer exist. -

The UN is clearly not perfect, Well there's an understatement. Having Iran chair human rights meetings kinda say it all. Dismissing its own Genocide advisor as in the OP just tops it off when it keeps other advisors who are clearly antiemetic in place.
