I apologize. After reading this article today, I guess I've been under the wrong impression and looking at it from the wrong perspective:

While YouTube did remove several of the clips, a few highly offensive clips remain from the time they said they would remove them. That is why they are still blocked in Thailand and justifiably so if one considers the feelings of the Thai people towards the subject manner.

It's really too bad that Youtube will be blocked in Thailand now, probably for years....
