Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha said on Friday the next election would be held but the scheduling depended on the situation and completion of relevant laws.

“Do not pressure me. I will keep my word. I give you all of my heart,” Prayut told villagers in Kantang district during an inspection of the flooding situation in Trang on Friday.

He also suggested that villagers should choose good candidates when filling out their ballots.

The premier had said the next election would occur November next year, although the election date has been shifted several times.

PM Prayut Chan-o-cha has promised many things.

..he promised to reduce the road toll by stopping people riding in the back of pick-ups.

..he promised to make sure that seatbelts were worn by motorists.

..he promised to clear the footpaths of motorbikes and food stalls and barrows.

..he promised to reform the lottery ticket sales system.

..he promised to reform the tax system. (he increased taxes)

..he promised to reform the education system.

..he promised to shake up the energy and telecom sectors.

..he promised to tackle corruption and human trafficking.

Which now raises the point...... how many of these promises did he keep and will this promise of an election be any different?

Prayut: "Do not pressure me . . . . I give you all of my heart."

Ughhh! . . . why do I always want to throw up, whenever I see this cretin's face or hear his meaningless words?

I thought his heart was already given, to his pet frog, with whom he has deep meaningful conversations ?

Time to keep his word, and go.

There is a first time for everything, but don't hold your breath...

‘I will keep my word’ on elections”

Not him to say. The establishment has grown impatient with his incompetency and they are sufficiently impacted with the stagnated economy to pressure him to hold election. Of course he like to stay on as non elected. Power is additive.

But, EL, how could you overlook his total control, as he recently boasted and the fact that he is authorised to do anything . . . anything he wants and we'd all better get used to it - love him or loath him. I loath him, actually, but keep it quiet.

You want to throw up when you see or hear him??

How do you think the frogs feel when he kisses them? You should be thankful you're not a frog.
