Pol Gen Chakthip leads police in arresting Sek Loso

The national police chief Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda led a team of elite Arintharat police force in arresting rock star Seksan Sukpimai or Sek Loso from his house in Bang Khen district on Sunday evening after he defied police repeated police requests for him to voluntarily turn himself in.

 

A team of police from Kanna Yao police station, led by Pol Col Singh Singdet, was despatched to Sek’s house in Nanthawan housing estate on Sukhapibaan 5 road in Bang Khen to make the arrest after the Nakhon Si Thammarat issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of carrying a gun in public and firing the gun in public in Nakhon Si Thammarat on Friday night.

 

Police laid siege to his house after the rocker refused to open the door of his house and refused to surrender to acknowledge the charges. He reportedly locked himself on the second floor room of his house.

Rocker Sek Loso Arrested After Police Standoff

Police commandos arrest rocker Sek Loso at his residence Sunday

 

BANGKOK — Police commandos stormed a famous rock musician’s residence and took him in custody Sunday evening after he refused to turn himself in for firearm offenses.

 

Seksan Sukpimai, or Sek Loso, was arrested following a standoff with police officers inside his house in Bangkok’s Kannayao district. Sek is wanted for firing a pistol into the sky Thursday at a temple, which he livestreamed on Facebook.

Leaving aside any comment on gun possession...

 

He has a cool name!

This might set a good precedent for the B.I.B.

Instead asking politely for people to come in for a chat, when they have a warrant issued against them, go and actually arrest them !

It just might work.

Regardless of his name, he is one sad individual. Arrogant, entitled, bully, wife beater, cheater, deserter, junkie - now there are more suitable names. Hardly a role model.

He's already a jackass (apparently), so given the gun related charge involved, and possibility he's high on Yaba, they were right to go in heavy, secure the area, and see how it goes. 

 

He looks very calm, almost amused, in the photos.  Probably just smoking weed.  Arresting stoners typically not a problem.  Even the regular BiB could have handled this.  Stand outside 7-11 and wait for him to show up for Mountain Dew, Doritos and Snickers bars.  LOL!

I totally agree. The sad thing is that it probably only happened this time because a police General saw a great opportunity for a New Years photo op.

I wouldn't say typical, but certainly there are many like him, full of themselves- and time they were taken down a peg or two. 

They have to send the national police chief to arrest Mr Important? No one else can do it? Does that mean all his subordinates are incapable of arresting one man? Doesn't the national police chief have more important things to do than arrest people?
