LivinLOS Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Anyone done this recently ?? Curious if a yellow house book was a requirement or not ? Or if the immigration residence proof was enough for that issue. Any list of documents Hang Dong wishes to see (I have read its fairly amphur dependent, much like the yellow house book) would give me a good starting base.
ubonjoe Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 You have to have a yellow house book to get the the ID card. Check with your local Amphoe to find out what is needed to get the yellow house book.

I am reluctant to go the yellow house book route as I am trying to not cause additional workload issues for my landlord, hes 100% helpful but I could do without having to drag his wife to amphur's and the issues that come.

LivinLOS Posted January 2, 2018 Author Posted January 2, 2018 Damn... Will go ask and see how much involvement that needs from the house owner.. Thanks anyway.
Sparkles Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Got my ID card from Hang Dong Amphur office12 mths back .Yellow House book was, and still is, a requirement. 60 baht Only used it 3 times in 12 mths 2 resorts who viewed it with some suprise but accepted it.Once at the PO. Collectors item
LivinLOS Posted January 3, 2018 Author Posted January 3, 2018 Hang Dong were very easy but yes I need to take my landlord and the local phu yai baan along to get it done. Debating if I will bother as driving licenses and taxpayer number 'should' do but I am just looking to establish every formal thing I can to show residency for western tax reasons. Thai tax for non Thai sourced money not brought into the country is far preferable to the places I am making it.
grin Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Big C accepted my pink ID card and entered the ID number into their system. They require you to show your registered ID to get the accumulated discounts that they have now instead of the coupons at the end of the register receipts. Also you only have to give them your phone number at checkout. It seems like the membership card has been discontinued. Works much better than the coupons for us. The coupons would usually expire before we got around to gathering them together for a trip to Big C.
scorecard Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 (edited) As mentioned, the issue of a pink card is dependent on having an ID number. ID numbers are generated specifically as part of adding your name to the yellow tabien baan book (or added to the normal blue tabien baan book if you have permanent resident status).
