SA KAEO, 19 January 2018 (NNT) - Various agencies in Thailand's eastern province of Sa Kaeo will co-organize an ethnic food fair in early February.

The announcement was made during a news conference presided over by Deputy Governor Ronnarong Nakhonchinda. The conference took place at the Indochina Hotel in the Arnnayaprathet District.

Attendees included chairperson of Sa Kaeo Tourism Business Association Ratree Saengrungruang, Sakaeo Provincial Cultural Officer Chaiyanun Sangthong and Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Nakhon Nayok Office Prawat Mungcharoenrat.

The ethnic food fair will run from February 2nd to 4th at the Soi Ban Yuan community on Mit Samphan Rd. The area will be transformed into a walking street, flanked by more than 100 outlets selling foods from ethnic groups from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, China and Thailand.

Old houses will be renovated to improve the community’s landscape and welcome visitors. Deputy Governor Ronnarong said the event will give visitors a rare opportunity to try a myriad of homemade ethnic dishes and shop for locally-made products.
