Shipping from Isaan to Australia

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi everyone.

I want to ship a couple of cubic metres of my wife's household goods from Maha Sarakham to Perth (Western Australia).

If I crate it up is there any business that can collect it and do the rest, or do I have to find an agent in Bangkok and send it there ?

I'd be grateful for thoughts or suggestions or recommendations.

Hi mate. Firstly be aware of how you crate it up. If you use wood as a create it may have to be fumigated and when I had it done it had to be done in Chonburi. This adds time and expense to your shipment. I am pretty sure you will have to get it to the shipping agent and they can organise it to be transported to the fumigation site if it's required. I used Toll Logistics and they may be able to assist you in transporting it from MS to BKK. Make sure your documents state that the items are personal or you will have to pay a bit of import duty or GST.
Cheers
