Krabi Governor, Pol Lt-Colonel ML Kitibodhi Prawit, along with Krabi authorities and Krabi Red Cross representatives, visited a local resident, Pliew Petchpuang, who is 111 years old, to greet her and grant her New Year gifts on Tuesday.

The chief of Krabi Office of Social Development and Human Security, Kitti Intarakul, who also went to visit the old lady, said that his office made a search for citizens who are over than 100 and found that she is the oldest. She was born in 1907, which was during the era of King Rama V.

They were welcomed with a smile at the front of the house. Pliew is still walking without a walking stick and remains healthy. Her eyes are working fine, here hearing is OK and she can communicate well with people. She is living with her family, who are taking good care of her.

She gave the visitors a few tips on how to live a long life, recommending her daily consumption of mainly vegetables and chilli paste. She always tries to avoid eating meat and always stays active and does everything on her own as much as possible. She also blessed the people who care for her for her good health and longevity.

Before the Governor left to visit another citizen who is over 100, Pliew escorted him back to his car.

I've always told my wife that when she dies I am going to go to the nearest bar with beautiful young women and do the business. I bet my wife live to this age !

She is more likely to get her "revenge" before she goes

doubt it but interesting theory ; )

mmmmmm..... In south America exagerated claims by hill tribe people claiming to be 130+ were actually 70's and were found to be using their grandparents ID cards and Birth certs.........and in LoS 7/11's when it comes to counting they use calculators to substract 50 from 100.....?

That's not a stick, it's a 7 iron. She was on her way to the driving range when they nabbed her.
