Policeman took photo of my passport

Featured Replies

Hi,

I make regular trips from Malaysia every month to visit family.  I am a Malaysia  citizen and I catch a train to Thailand. I have been doing this for the past 15 mths.  On this last occasion the usual policeman decided to take a picture of my passport.  Is this legal? What could he possibly want with a picture???

Yes it is legal.

Picture for their records I would assume.

If you were not Mayasian and doing your entries at the border with there you would only be allowed 2 visa exempt entries per calendar year at a land border crossing.
