Nonbinary and Transgender Nikki Hiltz in the Paris Olympics
All those pronouns and gender swaps had me bamboozled, too. But I think this is the key from the OP: Hiltz, assigned female at birth, So I'm wondering what the big deal is, that even deserved a mention. She's gay sometimes and apparently presents like a dude sometimes. And has strong opinions on transgender issues. Unless, of course, she is XY. But that's not what the OP says. -

British Man, 27, Vanishes in Thailand Before Flight Home
No flight information disclosed but unlikely a nonstop flight to Finland regardless of airlines out of Bangkok. That means a transit point or two, possible change of airlines and different destination than Finland. -

Digital wallet as social engineering
I understand. I guess my point was that things seem to be moving in the direction whereby they can eventually control people. Surveillance first, then active control. It’s not a big step. And a CBDC isn’t absolutely necessary for at least some degree of control. Just the other day I read about credit card companies not allowing for charges for certain items, like firearms. And look what they did in Canada to some people who supported the truckers. Didn’t they freeze bank accounts? Personally, I think people might eventually find other ways to transact business. Why put money in a bank that is going to tell you how to spend it? -

Southport Stabbing: Child Killed and Several Injured in Taylor Swift-Themed Workshop Attack
I live in England and I know nothing about this. I'm not a lefty, as you call them, but I don't like people exaggerating for effect. If you can prove what you've said and the extents you are claiming, I'll take it on board.- 1

Canadian Tourist Brutally Attacked on Pattaya’s Soi 6 (short)
Does it matter? These Thai men in black shirts were supposedly lectured and trained recently by the Pattaya police about how they should never lay hands on a foreigner and if something requires this then they should call the police to intervene. Apparently these thugs were not present at that meeting session with the local PD. -

Using an overseas Debit Card to minimise paying tax for those of us staying over 180 days
It does sound like a lot of co-ordination and co-operation between the departments. I suppose the test of your speculation will be (a) When I go for my next extension in November, given the Thai tax year does not end until March 2025. (b) whether I get issued a TTN by the RD, or get told it's not needed because I am a national that has a DTA with Thailand, OR I am below their radar as a pensioner. Given I have plenty of documented pre-2024 savings, I am not really fussed. Just another layer of bureaucracy to keep the unemployment figure at 1%.
