Does anybody know of an eye specialist in the Kanchanaburi area , don't want to go to the hospital where you get 5 different tablets for fixing the headache to the broken leg .

A specialist is preferred.

And specialists mostly work from hospitals in Thailand.  Larger hospitals will have an eye department with such people available.  

As above. In Thailand specialists usually work out of the OPD departments in hospitals. I don't think you will find one outside of a hospital in Kanchanaburi. Furthermore the tendency to overprescribe medications is not less in the few private clinics that exist - if anything, the opposite since they tend to charge based on  meds prescribed.

 

There is a government Eye Hospital in Nakorn Pathom, depending on where you are in Kanchanaburi  may be feasible for a day trip and is the best source of eye care in that part of Thailand
