CityNews – The Northern Meteorological Center is warning citizens that the weather will be extra hot and humid throughout March with highs possibly reaching 40 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologist specialist Mr. Worapot Kunawiwattanangkul revealed that the weather expected over the next few weeks is a sure sign that summer has arrived. In the first half of the month, the northern and north-eastern part of Thailand will still be covered with high pressure from China making the weather cool in the morning, however it will be hot and humid in the afternoon and hazy in most areas.

In the second half of March, it is revealed that there will be low pressure due to the heat spreading in the northern part of Thailand. There will also be the southern wind or south-eastern wind especially in the northern and north-eastern regions which will cause a rise of temperature, reaching a maximum of 39-40 degrees Celsius.

No,  The Bureau of Meteorology was  destroyed by unforeseen floods in 2011 and all 3 meteorologists were sent to inactive posts on Thai-Myanamar border.:saai:

Of course there are! (And if they do a bad job, they double as lunch.)
